Venetian - Timber Venetian - Roller Blinds

Outside Mount: (Hangs outside the window opening and covers an area larger than the window itself)
Measure the width...distance across the window, then add an additional 20% to allow for the bunching of the louvre slats when open and stacked back. For example, if the width of the window is 150cm, then add on an additional 30cm for a total width of 180cm.

Measure the height...distance from the top (where mounting brackets will be) at least 10cm above window recess down to the lowest point you want the blind to reach. If the measurements are down to the floor, measure the height of the window on the left, right and centre, recording the longest height, then deduct 2cm for clearance. All our vertical blinds can be mounted so the controls and stacking of the louvre slats can be on the left or right hand side. If you require the louvre slats to close from each side to the centre of the window (like a pair of curtains) then please specify "Vertical centre close" in the comments box on the order form.

Inside Mount: (Hangs inside the window frame and covers the window exactly)
Measure the window opening at the top, centre and bottom, recording the narrowest width. Measure the height of the window on the left, right and centre, recording the longest height. Our factory will make an automatic 1 to 1.5cm deductions from your width and drop measurements for operating clearance.

Measuring & Fitting

General Considerations

Accurate measurements are absolutely essential. The measurements you provide are first used to price the blind(s), and then to custom construct it to your specific window(s). The dimensions given on the order form must be correct for the blind(s) to properly fit the window opening(s). For maximum accuracy, always use a steel tape. As the customer, it is your responsibility to provide correct measurements. We are not responsible for incorrect measurements. Measure twice for accuracy.

"Rounding Off" Your Measurements

Ordered dimensions should be accurate to within 0.25cm (¼cm). With inside mounts, always round DOWN to the nearest 0.25cm (¼cm). Rounding up could result in a blind that is too long to fit within the window opening.
